Blog Action Day: Pingu teaches about Climate Change!

In the episode we see Pingu’s environment deteriorate and Pingu is washed out to sea.

”Save Pingu” is a campaign aimed at children (5-9 y/0). It educates children about the issues of climate change in an entertaining, interactive and engaging way, and encourages them to help. With the children’s help, Pingu will be saved!

Unfortunately the link http://www.savepingu.com is not working.

The children would have had to complete 7 tasks, each with an environmentally friendly twist, to save Pingu. Each task completed improved Pingu’s environment. When all tasks had been completed they would have saved Pingu and unlocked a special episode where he was back to his normal, mischievous self.

The Eco ZOO!

Ecodazoo is an eye-candy website that aims to raise awareness about small actions people can take for the environment.The content is displayed as a 3-D pop-up book.

There are five quirky characters, each with their own story to tell about what action they take for the environment: Mrs.Angkor “Watt”, Mrs.Roo, Yagi-chan, Mr. Kappa Field and Mr.Bag, Bargworm. Once in the Eco Zoo you will have to play around with your mouse – have fun!
