Join Balloonacy!

Balloonacy, the race
across the internet originally run in 2008.
The first campaign involved 40,000 virtual hot air balloon travelers
visiting 3,000 different sites and 63 million internet miles
in a mad two-week race to win a group vacation in Ibiza.

The 2010 Balloonacy race
runs for two weeks, starting November 8th,
with prizes including trips to Kenya,
Egypt or a safari park in the south of England.

The creators of this game -  POKE  - tell us more about it.

"Back in 2008, we made a game with Orange called Balloonacy. Lots of you played it, loved it and told your friends about it. Now it’s back for seconds, but this time, it’s a race to the end of the internet. And it’s happening right now.

The great internet balloon race is set across four stages: tree tops, clouds, space and deep space. Once you’ve picked a balloon and given it a name, you’ll fly it across a racecourse that’s made up of lots of lovely people’s websites and blogs.

By grabbing air and waving at each other, you can go faster through the course and give yourself a better chance of bagging the first prize of a holiday to Kenya and a balloon ride across the Masai Mara. On the way, you’ll bump into pesky UFOs, jellyfish and bees trying to slow you down. Plus there are lots of mini games and challenges dotted around to get your teeth into.

We like to think of Balloonacy as a celebration of everything that’s wonderful about this thing called the web. And we’re really rather excited for everyone who’s going to a part of something a little bit special over the next nine days."

We can still have some fun!
If you own a site or a blog you can also host the game.

Pick your balloon and join this race!
And please - wave at me!!! :-)

Good luck!

Celebrating pureness with Waybuloo!

Waybuloo
takes place in the world of Nara,
a land of happiness, laughter and friendship
that’s home to the Piplings.

The four Piplings are happy, loving and caring creatures that are inquisitive and playful: Yojojo is full of fun, he’s mischievous and loves surprises. Lau Lau is creative and thrives when she’s dancing or painting. Nok Tok is practical and inventive, he’s happiest when he’s making things. De Li is thoughtful, caring and loves gardening.

When Piplings experience pure happiness they achieve Buloo and rise gently into the air.

The Piplings practice Yogo, a gentle form of exercise which is similar to yoga. The movements are often inspired by things that the Piplings see in Nara like birds, trees and narabugs.

The ‘Call to Yogo’ happens when the sunlight shines on the coloured crystals of the ancient Yogo machine; it starts to turn and makes a beautiful sound. When Piplings hear this sound they stop what they’re doing and meet in front of the Yogo machine. Lau Lau, De Li, Nok Tok and Yojojo do four Yogo poses at the beginning of each programme and later when the cheebies (children) come to Nara, the Piplings and cheebies repeate the poses together.

Waybuloo is unique in its exploration of emotions and relationships, taking us on a journey through stories of co-operation, friendship and enjoyment.

You can try some of the Yogo poses by downloading the Yogo activity sheet.
