Fada Moranga loves Thumbelina!

Thumbelina
A translation of Hans Christian Andersen's "Tommelise" by Jean Hersholt.

There once was a woman who wanted so very much to have a tiny little child, but she did not know where to find one. So she went to an old witch, and she said:

"I have set my heart upon having a tiny little child. Please could you tell me where I can find one?"

"Why, that's easily done," said the witch. "Here's a grain of barley for you, but it isn't at all the sort of barley that farmers grow in their fields or that the chickens get to eat. Put it in a flower pot and you'll see what you shall see."

Celebrating Mothers Day!

Fada Moranga's mother: Georgina "Gininha"

"Her baby was so full of glee,
And trough the day
It laughed and babbled on her knee
In happy play.
It pulled her hair all out of a curl
With noisy joy,
So peppy she was glad her girl
Was not a boy."

Celebrating the world of Teletubbies!

The Teletubbies have been around since 1997! They live in a magical world where they have everything they need. They love each other very much and love to share Big Hugs.

Teletubbies love their house (it is called the tubbytronic superdome, but Teletubbies can't say that). The Teletubbies' house is full of tubbytronic technology making all kinds of funny technological noises. The Teletubbies are "at home" with all the tubbytronic technology in their house and operate it with a joy and confidence.

Just as real children relate to other children the Teletubbies love to watch children playing and their television tummies are a gateway between the two worlds.

Fada Moranga loves jingle bells!

Cambodian Jingle Bells Jewelry

For thousands of years Cambodian mommies have adorned the feet of their precious babies with silver anklets that have small bells attached to them. Traditionally, it is believed that the delicate jingling sounds would protect young childen by warding off bad spirits.

Fada Moranga loves Miffy!

Miffy was created in 1955 by Dick Bruna

Miffy's original Dutch name is Nijntje [nɛɪ̯ncĒ] which stems from a toddler's pronunciation of the word "konijntje" meaning "little rabbit".

The other characters that appear in the books are her family: Miffy's parents, her Grandmother and Grandfather, Aunt Alice, and her Uncle Bob, who appears in Miffy Goes Flying. A new brother or sister for Miffy is introduced in Miffy And The New Baby. She also has many friends, Boris and Barbara Bear, who first appeared in 1989 and are boyfriend and girlfriend, Poppy Pig, who appeared in 1977, and her niece Grunty, Snuffy, who appeared in 1969, and other bunnies such as Aggie and Melanie. Miffy has been on TV with her friends since 2003.

Dick Bruna's books have now been translated into 40 different languages, and over 80 million copies have been sold all over the world. He has won many awards for his books and in his hometown, Utrecht, there is a square named after Nijntje, the Nijntjepleintje (lit: Nijntje Little Square, to retain the rhyme) and in 2006, the Centraal Museum opened a permanent exhibition, the "Dick Bruna Huis".
